June, oh June! Motivation was made for you. I know, I say everything is important, but essentially all of these things are equally important and vital in order to gain self-love and confidence. Where we go wrong as humans is we expect motivation to come from other people, when the best motivation comes from ourselves. Relying on other people to give you motivation is only going to hinder your process of getting anything done. Instead, motivate yourself and you will find your experiences to be much more efficient and beneficial.

Motivation is the driving force that gives you courage to accomplish things. Unconsciously, you may not think the things you do took any motivation, but really motivation comes in many forms. That quick little debate with yourself in your head before going in the classroom doors to complete a test, is motivation. The conversation you have with yourself to stop yourself from making an impulsive decision, is motivation. You know yourself better than anyone, so why depend on someone else to encourage you to do something or to not do something you know you do or do not want to do? I am a big The Breakfast Club interview watcher. I watch these interviews faithfully. One, because they dig deep into the lives of my favorite celebrities and two, because it sometimes gives me motivation. In these interviews, I have heard countless times of how they were persistent with their dreams and did not stop no matter what. It took many no's and many doors to not be open, for them to understand that all it takes is to just keep going. This screams self-motivation to me, simply because it takes a confident person to be able to tell themselves to not give up. Often times, people don't even view this as having confidence or self motivation because we discredit ourselves, as we are all our own toughest critic. Glorifying these moments may make things easier or at least help with gaining a more optimistic view of your life and future. Motivation is essential. It keeps us going and acts as a reminder of why we should not ever give up on ourselves. Some easy ways to motivate yourself daily are affirmations. Posting encouraging words in places you go to everyday like your mirror in the bathroom. There are a number of apps that send notifications of motivational quotes. There are also songs that are motivational that could also help with getting your day started. These moments are crucial and should be taken more seriously. It helps with your mental health and the completion of your goals. Never lose sight of those and never lose sight of the importance of motivating yourself. You are your toughest critic and also your biggest fan!
