My Summer Bucket List; 5 Things I Want To Do Summer 2022

It's been a while since we could slightly breathe. I mean, even though life as we once knew it will never be the same, this summer feels a little more... safe? Anyway, I love making lists. Something about seeing things in this format just makes it easier for me to measure and accomplish. I am all about life experiences and marking them off as I feel compelled to do so, so this summer I'm making a short list of some things I would like to do this summer. A treat to myself to remember that there are always things to do and explore.

  1. A picnic in a park by some water preferably. This is the perfect way to get little planning out of the way or just hang out and listen to music and play card games. Being unsure about outdoors for the past couple of years, makes me want to enjoy what's left of nature while I can.

  2. Rock Climbing. There is a local rock climbing facility nearby that I have been dying to try and I would love to randomly go just to try something new. I had the opportunity to rock climb, but was unable to do so. So now that I know one is nearby, is it definitely on my to-do list.

  3. A road trip! I love road trips (especially with people who love to drive). Being in Atlanta, a nice road trip to me would be to Orlando, South Carolina or New Orleans. Orlando, Florida is a 7 hour and 22 minute drive. Myrtle Beach, South Carolina is 5 hours and 52 minutes away and New Orleans is a 7 hour and 6 minute drive. I would say my top choice would of course be New Orleans because I also have been wanting to visit the southern states like Alabama and Mississippi.

  4. A state fair and I look forward to them every year. I love rides, the food, the games and the cute photo moments. I loveeeeeeee funnel cake, lemonade and turkey legs! And not to mention I will go broke trying my luck at the concessional games.

  5. A day or weekend trip, somewhere quick and fun like New York, Miami, Philly, Chicago or Dallas. Traveling has been on my mind so much lately. This is something else that feels a little more comfortable to do. While I am able to do it, I really want to spend it places I've been wanting to go. Of those places I have not been to Chicago or Dallas. New York is a place I have literally been dying to visit again although it's probably the state I've visited the most. Miami is always a guaranteed good time and Philly I have yet to explore, but visited briefly.

All of these things are super attainable and I hope to cross them off one by one. Do you keep a bucket list? Specifically a summer bucket list? It has been a rough couple of years, let's be sure to live life and appreciate it. I use this bucket list as a personal organization things, but you can also create a vision board or simply set dates where you plan to do something fun that day spontaneously. What's on your summer bucket list?
