Let's use March as the month of application. You made a list of all you want to change, your new year resolutions, the things you pray about and for... they don't happen on their own so you know they all require some work right? It's so easy to just ask and then be lazy about it, but just like Drake said, you have to be "the type to say a prayer, then go get what you just prayed for". When it comes to what we want we can't be lazy. The only person who is going to give you what you want is yourself so... application, applying what you know and applying the necessary tools to get what you asked for is important.

What are the tools? Well if it's a job you're looking for, you have to apply. If it's a car you're looking for, do your research, start saving. If it's a guy you're looking for, make sure you are working on yourself and so on and so forth. The work ethic has to match whatever it is that you are looking for. Nothing comes easy to anyone, it all requires effort.

Lemme put this into perspective... after asking God to send me a partner, I did a lot of thinking and self reflection. I realized that everything I am is not yet complete. There were things I still had to fix within myself before I would be worthy of what I am asking for. I am impatient, can be double standard, spoiled, I mean the list goes on and although some of these things take time, the fact that you are making steps in the right direction is effort within itself. Once I started applying what I knew I needed to fix to my everyday routine, I started getting more and more of what I was looking for. Although I am still single, everyday I am more hopeful because the changes and progression I have made for myself has been beneficial and was very much needed anyway. Regardless of if I got what I was asking for or not. Not only has it been beneficial to me, it also made me become more patient and accepting of what is meant for me. "Hard work pays off" right? If I put all this work in, I'm bound to get something out of it right?

Keep in mind, that just because you're putting all this work and effort in does not mean you are guaranteed to get exactly what you've been asking for. Sometimes we ask for things when we are worthy of so much more. Or maybe we ask for things that are too much for us to bear. Either way, we will receive what is just right for us when it is just right for us.

Figure out what it is that you want, write it down and work on it every single day. Apply what you know to your everyday life because what good is learning something if you can't use it?
