Lola

March is here and it is time for some Spring cleaning, warmer weather and a new It Girl! Meet Lola. A 20 year old fashion merchandising major at FIT, owner of Lola Saint Mane (her hair and wig construction business) and Plotwist (her styling and clothing brand). I've known Lola for a whileeeeeeee now and her bold confidence and the obvious amount of self-love she has for herself is what made the "It Girl shoe" fit! "Til this day i still refer to myself as my age (20) with a style that’s so versatile. Versatility speaks for my many fashion looks, personalities, and talents in the fashion, marketing, and beauty industry." says Lola, and is a small taste of just how much confidence and self-love she has. I was able to ask Lola a few questions, here's what she had to say...

Q: What is your opinion on self confidence?(How do you express it? How did you gain it?)

L: Self confidence is loving yourself on your best and worst days. It’s having the courage to take that leap regardless if you fall and ignoring the opinion’s of others. It allows you to emulate power without having to say a word. I express it by pouring it onto others to help bring them up as well. I gain it by focusing becoming a better version of myself every day.

Q: What is your opinion on self love?(How do you express it? How do you gain it ?)

L: Self love is loving yourself even when it rains like Sza says. It’s all about embracing your flaws and looking at them as strengths rather than weaknesses. It’s rewarding yourself with positive affirmations and tracking your progress. Self love is a constant reminder that you’re 1of1 and that’s something no one else can take from you. Be yourself, love yourself.

Q: If you could give your younger self a piece of advice, what advice would that be?

L: I would tell my younger self that you are exactly where you need to be at the right time. Beating yourself up due to worrying about your future only hinders the journey. Lift yourself up by trusting the process and continuing to strive for greatness and stay ambitious. You will get into that school, land that job, and achieve everything you ever desired.
