There is no better month than February. Black history month, Valentine's day, it's the shortest month which makes it unique, Aquarius and Pisces and of course... it's my birth month! Aside from these things, its a great time to talk about faith. Gotta have it and you gotta keep it. It's what keeps us going and moving forward. It's a good thing to remind yourself to keep for the sake of your sanity and mental health. In some way, shape or form we all practice it because if we didn't then we would not be where we are today.

There have been plenty of times where I felt like I was at rock bottom. I'm always reassured when the same thing I was crying about, becomes a small thought in due time. It's all because of faith, that I gain the right amount of patience to see things through.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I longed for relationships. I do not like being alone. After years of dealing with sh*tty guys, I began to make myself sad by constantly thinking of reasons why the things that were happening to me kept happening, when really all it took was one thing... faith. Some things are beyond our control. Those things tend to give us anxiety, make us feel worse than what we should because we feel powerless. I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. We don't always know in the time frame that we want to know what that reason is, but it reveals itself in due time. Constant prayer and faith is what reveals these things. Eventually, I thought and read about things that helped me come to the conclusion that I must keep faith. Everything that I ever wanted in a person is currently being possessed by someone who is seeking everything that I posses and having the faith to wait and know that it is coming is what gets me through.

Having faith is just extremely important. The thought of having faith itself is soothing because nothing is ever promised, but we are promised to never been forsaken and that itself makes me feel hopeful. To know that what I want may not be available to me now because something GREATER is coming... wow. I mean I could preach all day, but to keep it readable... faith is not just subject to relationships, but to everything you are currently going through a struggle with. School, bills, jobs, a car, a house, everything requires faith. It is so easy to forget to have it because we are human, we feel, we do not have all of the answers and some things discourage us, but there is someone greater who takes on our battles and all he asks is for us to remain faithful in the fact that what we go through today, is temporary. The pain, the negative thoughts, the doubts are all temporary. It's easy to forget to have it, but hard to live without it. Mase said it best... "breath, stretch, shake". Take a deep breath, stretch (think, take your time, process), shake off any negative energy and remember to keep faith!
