This blog is dedicated to the young mothers who shape the minds of their children, are fiercely themselves and are unapologetic...

When I found out my bestfriend wanted to start "IT" girl, I was completely here for it for so many different reasons. In our society today, women face so many different battles that sometimes it becomes suffocating. This blog is to empower each other and to create a conversation on loving ourselves despite what anyone else thinks. I knew that I wanted to contribute to “IT girl” not only in support of my friend's message but also because I'm a mother who faces different obstacles everyday while raising my daughter, who will one day face the same challenges.

I wanted to share my experiences because it may be another young mother who doesn't have anyone to relate to or doesn’t know how to cope with a situation that I may have been through. Being a mom, you have to be strong, nurturing, and patient every single day. I find myself sometimes exhausted and out of touch with myself because I feel like I have to be perfect in order to be a good mother (at least that's what I thought). I have dealt with postpartum, anxiety, and depression. I have been in really dark places and felt like there wasn't a way out, but I have pulled through.

My way of learning to cope and overcome  those things is by sharing my stories so that I can help other women pull through when they feel there isn't a way out. I also want to hear from other women who may want to share their stories so that we can start a conversation on ways to continue to persevere so that we can be the best we can be not only for ourselves but for our children who look up to us everyday.

-xoxo, Keinan
